Green Lawns and Robust Gardens
Without Chemicals and Poisons
You can keep your soil, lawn and plants healthy without resorting to dangerous pesticides and polluting chemicals. A new organic program based on regular sprayings with compost tea makes it possible. This website will tell you about actively aerated compost tea, worm compost and the natural soil foodweb, a complex biological system of plant nutrition and disease suppression that has evolved over millions of years. But all you need to remember is this: Nature cannot be replaced by simply applying chemicals to your lawn and garden.
So what is an Urban Worm anyway?
An urban worm is a member of the family Lumbricidae (the earthworm clan) who happens to live inside the loop. This supposedly lowly creature is the key link in a whole ecosystem of life in good soil. And Houston needs good soil. That's why I adopted the urban worm as a model for my business. Urban Worms Organics is in the business of reviving the natural soil systems that feed and care for the plants in our city.
It'’s important work. An urban environment, almost by definition, is disconnected from nature. So we urban humans need our trees, grasses and shrubs to help us maintain our natural health -- both mental and physical.
Thanks for visiting.
